The Tasting Room & Taphouse at Mount Ida Reserve participated in the 2021 Governor’s Cup competition. This is a competition hosted by the Virginia Wineries Association in partnership with the Virginia Wine Board and the Virginia Vineyards Association. A panel of 16 judges sampled over 500 of the best Virginia wines from over 100 Virginia wineries. The judges assemble tasting notes for each wine commenting on the appearance, aroma, flavor, overall quality, and commercial suitability.
