All of the items below are perfect passed hors d’oeuvres or finger foods for an engagement party, rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, or an elegant shower. These are just a sampling of the variety of menu items we offer.

Caprese Skewers with mozzarella, local cherry tomatoes, basil, and salami

We love featuring local ingredients. These farm fresh cherry tomatoes from Bellair Farm, which is just around the corner from our soon to be open Tasting Room, are gorgeous and bursting with flavor.

Pair with our Moonlight Red wine. The slight sweetness in this red balances the spice in the salami and plays off the natural sugars in the tomatoes.

Squash Croquettes with red onion jam, black pepper ricotta, and micro arugula

Everything in our Tasting Room kitchen is made fresh and on site. These squash croquettes are particularly special; our Chef, Nathan Hatfield, created these based on a recipe handed down from his wife’s (our GM, Margaret) grandmother. Finished with a sweet and savory jam, and delicate ricotta, both of which are made in house. These bites are a crowd favorite.

Pair with our 2015 Viognier. The bright acidity of our Viognier cuts through the buttery richness of these croquettes while the floral notes complement the red onion jam.

Spicy Korean Meatballs

Everyone loves a classic meatball hors d’oeuvre. Chef puts a fun spin on this party staple with a blend of our Mount Ida Farm beef and pork from Free Union Grass Farm. Cooked in a sweet/spicy/sour sauce made with Korean red chili paste, these meatballs are anything but boring!

Pair with our Moonlight White. The tropical fruit flavors in our white blend balance the spice in these flavorful meatballs.

Mini Crabcakes with Old Bay aioli

Our crab cakes are all about the crab, never filler. Chock full of jumbo lump, always local crab meat, bound with a blend of egg and whole grain mustard, and topped with our house-made Old Bay aioli. You can get these full sized for your plated dinner event, and will find them featured on the Tasting Room Pairing Menu during high crab season!

Pair with our 2015 Blanc de Blanc. With decadent crab cakes you can never go wrong with a bright, bubbly sparkling wine.

Chopped Salad with romaine, marinated bell peppers, red onion, cucumber, artichoke hearts, sourdough croutons, and Italian vinaigrette

Our chopped salad is piled high with vibrant, crunchy vegetables, and dressed with our classic Italian vinaigrette. Our favorite part is the sourdough croutons; made in house with bread from our favorite local bakery, MarieBette. Also available as a Chopped Salad Station if you’re looking for a more interactive experience for your guests.

Sauteed Green Beans with garlic, shallots, thyme, butter, and sea salt

We source locally whenever and wherever we can. These green beans from Bellair Farm are so delicious, we need do no more than sauté them lightly and finish with lovely coarse sea salt.

Seared Flank Steak with Chimichurri with roasted garlic, local cherry tomatoes, and crispy fingerlings

Pair this family style spread with our 2017 Estate Cabernet Franc or our 2015 Reserve Chardonnay. Our full bodied Cab Franc pairs well with the steak, and is strong enough to balance with the intense flavors of the chimichurri. Similarly, for white drinkers, the Reserve Chardonnay has a beautiful creamy texture and fruity palate to balance out the meat paired with these vegetable sides.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chocolate Ganache Cake

Finish you celebration with this decadent chocolate layer cake. Made with dark cocoa and coffee, and layered with silky chocolate ganache, this cake is the only chocolate cake you’ll ever want to eat; just ask our staff!

Pair with our Over the Moon Sparkling Wine, our sparkling wine exclusively offered to events hosted at the Reserve.
