DISHWASHER

Position Responsibilities

  • A good Dishwasher must be able to perform his or her job duties thoroughly, to support the whole staff; and, must be fast, to keep up with our volume of business.
  • Much of a Dishwasher’s job is involved with maintaining standards of cleanliness in the building. A good Dishwasher must be aware of our standards and must be able to work quickly and maintain them.

Required Qualifications and Education

  • Strong communication skills
  • High School Diploma
  • Relevant experience
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-stress environment
  • Job requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping and light lifting.

HOST

Position Responsibilities

  • A Host functions as greeter and first person to personify the quality of the Tasting Room and Taphouse. The Host is responsible for greeting guests and leading them to their table.
  • The Host enhances the Tasting Room and Taphouse facility by providing a good example of the quality of all Murcielagos businesses. The Host is also responsible for assisting potential guests by fielding calls and being informative about the operations of Mount Ida Reserve. Additionally, it is the responsibility of the host to oversee the merchandise (display, cleanliness, stocking, etc.).
  • The Host must provide good customer service to each person that walks through the door of the Tasting Room and Taphouse; guests should be greeted in a swift manner. In addition, the guests that walk in and are waiting for a table to clear should be informed of the possible wait time; the Host should take names and be prepared to alert guests when a table is open.
  • This position is responsible for accommodating the guest in any way prior to their experience in the dining room of the Tasting room and Taphouse and adding value to the overall image of the Tasting room and Taphouse. This position is also responsible for managing the experience of the customer or client looking for information relating to any other entities of Mount Ida Reserve.

LINE COOK

Position Responsibilities

  • The Line Cook supports the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in the preparation and production of food for the Tasting Room & Taphouse and any events held on premises. The Line Cook is responsible for the preparation, execution, and maintaining cleanliness of his/her station. The Line Cook must be prepared to work any station in the kitchen when needed.
  • The Line Cook is responsible for assisting in training new staff members when applicable. The Line Cook must adhere to appearance standards in accordance to company policies; as well as supporting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in any and all other kitchen responsibilities.
  • The Line Cook ensures that the overall quality of the food the restaurant produces follows proper sanitary practices. If there are any problems; the Line Cook is in charge of alerting the Executive Chef or Sous Chef, General Manager, and Director of Operations of any problems or important events occurring in the restaurant.

TASTING ROOM ASSOCIATE

Position Responsibilities

  • Tasting Room Associates play a vital role by being the initial contact guests interact with when visiting. A Tasting Room Associate can have a wide array of responsibilities depending on where they are scheduled to work within the Tasting Room and Taphouse.
  • Tasting Room Associates must be able to function in roles of hosting, serving, and or bartending. Therefore each associate must be knowledgeable about all food and beverage being served, in addition to the rest of the Mount Ida Reserve property and all its components (weddings, events, rentals, real estate, etc.). Each associate will be assigned a specific role each shift, and must comply with all duties outlined within that role.
  • Associates must provide excellent customer service to each person that walks through the door of the Tasting Room and Taphouse.

  • Relevant industry experience
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-stress environment
  • Ability to use restaurant software
  • Job requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping and light lifting.

  • 1-2 Years restaurant experience
  • Previous experience in a Winery Tasting room
  • Previous experience in a Craft Brewery Taproom

VINEYARD MANAGER

Position Responsibilities

  • Cultivation, thinning, pruning, tying, suckering, canopy management, planting
    and replanting, irrigating and harvesting
  • Pest, fungicide and herbicide management
  • Irrigation, monitoring and making recommendations related to vineyard and fruit
    quality
  • Erosion control, trellis Installation, irrigation installation, frost protection, vineyard installation, fence installation and R&M
  • Provide and acquire proper tools for all jobs; make sure that workers use the
    necessary equipment; keep areas clean and orderly; comply with county, state
    and federal regulations
  • Enforce company policy; ensure that every job or task is safe for the
    employees; supervise to make sure all work is carried out correctly; assist the
    workers and treat them with respect
  • Must be able to reasonably estimate harvest equipment needed; provide
    accurate harvest estimates; work within assigned budgets
  • Understand and train employees in Policy, Procedures and Safety
  • Increase/improve fruit and wine quality
  • Ensure that all necessary equipment is on site and in good operating condition
    prior to work
  • Manage the recruitment and hiring of all necessary, seasonal support staff
  • Manage the scheduling and day to day operations of all support staff
  • Effectively communicate and work cooperatively with support staff
  • Search out and evaluate vineyard problems and make recommendations that
    provide effective, timely and economic solutions and deliver quality fruit

Required Qualifications and Education

  • Must have strong computer skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to do literally any and all functions required to operate the vineyard
  • A strong and proven work ethic
  • Understanding of vineyard/farm management practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (can be an entry level position with degree) or
    minimum 5 years of farming experience
  • Functional Spanish is required
