Today for our Meet the Team blog series we are introducing the newest addition to the Mount Ida Reserve team, Linda Davis! Linda is one of the Assistant Managers for the Tasting Room & Taphouse. Fun fact: she is married to our Sous Chef, Nick Bishop! Enjoy getting to know Linda!

Where are you from?
London, Kentucky, though I’ve lived in Northern Virginia most of my life.
What is your educational background?
My educational background has taken a scenic route, to include Meteorological training with the Air Force, On the Job Training in restaurant management, and a Bachelor of Arts.
What do you like to do in your free time?
My free time is filled with play! My husband and I have 1 year and 3 year old daughters, and time away from work is spent exploring the world through the eyes of a child.
How did you get in to the industry?
I’ve always had a love and appreciation of food, drink, and people, and decided to join the industry to learn more. I fell in love with the dance of service and celebration.
What personal goals do you have for The Tasting Room & Taphouse?
I want to create an atmosphere of service for our guests that matches the serenity of the surroundings and community.
What is your favorite drink at the moment?
At the moment, a nice spicy bourbon served neat is my go to.
What is your favorite thing to do in Charlottesville on a day off?
Right now, we enjoy sampling local foods and visiting the local Farmers Market.
